PESHAWAR: The Paraplegic Center Peshawar, once without a single graduate in fields such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, orthotics/prosthetics, psychology, or speech-language pathology, has transformed into Pakistan’s leading physical rehabilitation institution. In its early days, the center also lacked qualified professionals in nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, rehabilitation engineering, and rehabilitation nursing. Despite these challenges, it remained the country’s first and foremost rehabilitation facility.
Today, the center boasts fully established departments across all these disciplines, with several skilled professionals leading the charge. Physiotherapists, along with experts from other departments, not only serve patients but are also highly satisfied with their contributions to the institution.
Recently, five professionals celebrated a significant milestone in their careers. To mark the occasion, they invited the management team, including Chairman of the Board Mr. Zia-ur-Rehman, to a local restaurant for a celebratory gathering.
Over the past two decades, the Paraplegic Center Peshawar has provided exceptional service to those in need. The dedication and selfless efforts of its staff are now beginning to yield well-deserved recognition and rewards.
