Peshawar: Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chairman of District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Peshawar, Sher Ali Afridi, recently visited the Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences (PIPOS) hospital. During the visit, MPA Afridi inspected various units, laboratories, and offices of the hospital and toured different sections.
Speaking on the occasion, Sher Ali Afridi praised PIPOS as a key institution in the field of prosthetic and orthotic sciences. He highlighted that PIPOS is training professional prosthetists and orthotists who provide rehabilitation services to physically disabled individuals, enabling them to become independent and productive members of society.
Afridi emphasized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s commitment to providing essential healthcare services to all citizens, with a special focus on the rehabilitation of disabled individuals. He stated that ensuring the rehabilitation of disabled persons remains a top priority for the government. He further requested PIPOS to provide a detailed list of the facilities required, assuring that discussions with relevant departments will be held to secure government support.
The MPA also discussed the institution’s performance, challenges, needs, and future plans, affirming full cooperation from the government. He agreed to maintain communication with relevant officials to address the institution’s needs effectively.
